Claims against 'The Da Vinci Code' have been rejected Item has expired on 14 Apr 2006
According to High Court judge Peter Smith the claim that the The Da Vinci Code
by Dan Brown is a copyright infringement on Holy Blood, Holy Grail
by Michael Baigent and Richard Leigh is wrong.
Baigent and Leigh argued that DVC, as it has been referred to in the case, lifted the "architecture" of their earlier book, The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail (HBHG).
"Today's verdict shows that this claim was utterly without merit, I'm still astonished that these two authors chose to file their suit at all," Brown said in a statement, according to The Associated Press.
