The Virtual Bookcase Reviews of 'Dig Up My Gold, But I Won't Say Where It's Buried':
Reviewer Koos van den Hout wrote:
Arthur Birkby describes his life growing up in the 20's, 30's and 40's in the United States. Growing up in a family of very "special" people with weird habits. His life has taken a few interesting turns and he does have a number of special anecdotes to share, about growing up and especially about his life in the army in the second world war. The reader can feel along with the growing up and turning into an adult that happens over the course of the book.
On the whole I found this book not very engaging, the writing style was ok but not a page-turner.
