A wonderful collection of the stories the people of Schotland have told each other for ages. If you have ever visited Schotland, then the settings of these stories will sound familiar. And if you do visit Schotland: bookstores are dangerous for your wallet.

Review:
"One of the best fantasy novels I have read" is the quote of Anne McCaffrey that is on the cover of the book. And, whoever Anne is, she is right. This book brings us to a land, where a mage is using his power to get rid of the province of Tigana and their inhabitants. A small group of brave warriors struggles for freedom. The book is wonderfully written, and the way the struggle is described is very realistic. This is a wonderful book! Recommended reading!
