The Virtual Bookcase : Shelf Fantasy
Great books playing in fantasy worlds.

Review:Apart from the trilogies written about Drizzt Do'Urden, Salvatore has written a lot of 'normal' books about him and his friends. This is the first book that can be read without two follow-ups. And it is a great book at that. Though the main storyline is a little bit predictable, Salvatore surprises the reader now and then with unexpected turns and developments. Also, the way Salvatore writes the book is his normal style, and with that style he captures your mind and keeps it wandering in the Forgotten Realms until you've finished the book, then leaving you with a longing for more. Once again a great book worth reading!

Reviews (1) and details of The Legacy
Review:The way Salvatore writes this book almost makes it a psychological thriller. Apart from the adventures Drizzt is experiencing, a lot of personal problems are playing a large roll in Drizzt's life and decisions. In earlier books, Salvatore had played with this concept before, but Drizzt has never had so many personal problems before in one book, and the way Salvatore describes this is just awesome. Salvatore captures the mind of the reader inside the mind of Drizzt, letting the reader experience everything Drizzt is experiencing. But it's not only those problems Drizzt is encountering, and Salvatore is still adept at writing the adventures of a more physical nature. Great book combining both physical and psychological aspects into one book.

Reviews (1) and details of Starless Night
Review:Though this book tries to be of the same format as Starless Night, it still has a nice element both the physical as the psychological aspects of Staress Night in it. It is not as good as it, but has a strength of its own. In a lot of cases, it is not good to keep within one exact style of writing a storyline. Progress keeps books (and an author) interesting to the reader. Still, Salvatore writes this book as a sort of combination between The Legacy and Starless Night. That makes this book a little bit boring, but Salvatore's style of writing about things makes it still an interesting book to read. If you are a huge fan of either Drizzt, or Salvatore's writing style, this is still a good book to read. If not, you might like it or might not l...

Reviews (1) and details of Siege of Darkness
Review:A wonderful history of one of the most famous islands in the history of fantasy-writing: Evermeet. This book describes the history from the semi-divine creation of the elven haven until the moment that a group of elves set out to create another similar yet different place for the elves of Faerun.
For those into the Forgotten Realms-books, this book is a must-read. For those into fantasy, this book is highly recommended.

Review:In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, J.K. Rowling offers up equal parts danger and delight--and any number of dragons,
house-elves, and death-defying challenges. Now 14, her orphan hero has only two more weeks with his Muggle relatives before
returning to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Yet one night a vision harrowing enough to make his
lightning-bolt-shaped scar burn has Harry on edge and contacting his godfather-in-hiding, Sirius Black. Happily, the prospect of
attending the season's premier sporting event, the Quidditch World Cup, is enough to make Harry momentarily forget that Lord
Voldemort and his sinister familiars--the Deat...
