I have had 2 non turbo 740s, and a passel of 240s. One big reason I like RWD Volvos is I find they are designed for ease of repair. There are few repairs I won't do myself. My Preference is Bentley repair manuals. But this Haynes manual is definitely worth having if you intend to do basic repairs and maintenance on your 740. It may be the only non-factory 740 manual available. If Bentley ever makes a 740 book like their 240 book I'll probably get that too. There are some specific areas it's weak, like automatic trans repair, but that is probably beyond me anyhow. (The Bentley 240 book has no AutoTrans overhaul section either). They fit in quite a few useful troubleshooting procedures. Just today I was pleased to find a procedure ... Rest of this review on the detail page
