The Virtual Bookcase Reviews of 'Using Your Mac':
Reviewer Rob Slade wrote:
This guide believes a bit too strongly in the intuitive nature of the Mac.
Although there is basic introductory material (including a helpful chapter on
physical setup), a few operational tasks are left out.
On the other hand, this goes beyond the fundamentals in a number of areas. You
will find some general background on applications and multimedia. Stauffer
provides a lot of information on customization--but this tends to be limited to
his own areas of interest. There are also sections on disk exchange with
MS-DOS machines and data communications which go beyond the scope of most
introductory works.
As with the Mac, itself, this book tends to make it easy to use the common
functions--but it doesn't provide much help if you run into problems.
