Reviewer Rob Slade wrote:Although Osman downplays the C tutorial aspects of the book, it does present a solid, albeit fairly condensed, precis of the basics. His primary concern with standards and portability makes for a good structured curriculum: the two aspects are integrated in a seamless whole. The coverage of system concerns and other commercial development factors *is* present, and *is* effective. Oddly, though, topics do not show up in the problems and exercises at the end of the chapter.
