The Virtual Bookcase Reviews of 'Industrial-Strength Sgml: An Introduction to Enterprise Publishing (Charles F. Goldfarb Series on Open Information Management)':
Reviewer Rob Slade wrote:
The book states, up front, that the intention is not to make the reader into an
SGML (Standard Generalized Markup Language) techie. The material *is* intended
to help someone use SGML--but at the management level rather than the actual
coding, perhaps. To this end, the text presents SGML concepts, purposes, and
functions. SGML coding is not altogether avoided, but it is used only in
support of discussions regarding how SGML can be used to benefit various
publishing functions.
