The Virtual Bookcase Reviews of 'Enigma: The Battle for the Code':
Reviewer Koos van den Hout wrote:A great book about the history of the cracking of the Enigma codes around the second world war. The book describes the involvement of all sides in the cracking of the code and the counter-measures by the Germans, with good descriptions of the people involved, the tension on all sides about the cracking of the code and the secrecy surrounding it and the brilliant thinking done to crack the code. This book would not have been possible earlier as a lot of the secrets from the second world war stayed secrets for fifty years. This also kept a number of people involved from setting the record straight for all those years. The book includes the mathematics behind all the code cracking and a good explanation.
Great book, good reading for both people interested in the good story and for people interested in code cracking and this (important) part of history.
