Reviewer Koos van den Hout wrote:This book is a bit different from the other books by Neal Stephenson. He wrote The Big U ages (well, 20 years) before he wrote Cryptonomicon. The book is about life at an American college. This life is totally detached from anything that happens in the real world out there around the same campus. Dorms form their own groups, even their own (new age) religions. It was for me a funny book to read (I've never been part of the college system in the US, so recognition was not part of it).
