The Virtual Bookcase Reviews of 'Starless Night':
Reviewer Stefan Koopmanschap wrote:The way Salvatore writes this book almost makes it a psychological thriller. Apart from the adventures Drizzt is experiencing, a lot of personal problems are playing a large roll in Drizzt's life and decisions. In earlier books, Salvatore had played with this concept before, but Drizzt has never had so many personal problems before in one book, and the way Salvatore describes this is just awesome. Salvatore captures the mind of the reader inside the mind of Drizzt, letting the reader experience everything Drizzt is experiencing. But it's not only those problems Drizzt is encountering, and Salvatore is still adept at writing the adventures of a more physical nature. Great book combining both physical and psychological aspects into one book.
