Although a touch dull at first, this book later shapes up to be yet another one of Brian Jaques materpieces. I strongly agree with Stephanie. It is not "a story about some stupid badger" it is a fantastical piece woven by a reknowned story teller. If you do not enjoy books where all characters are animals, or did not like any other book by Brian Jaques, then this is not for you. To anyone else, I highly reccomend this. I am 13 and am dead jealous of those who have read the entire series.

I enjoyed this book very much. Even though when you start reading one of Brian Jacques' books you know that everything will turn out fine. You just don't know how or why, and after the first few paragraphs you want to know. I am only ten, and my opinion usually doesn't mean alot to people but since I am writing this i want to dissagree with the person who said that this is only about a stupid badger, because it isn't, it's a story about bravery, and hope, and all that other stuff. I love this series and I want to own every single book about Redwall, or Salamandastron or anything pertaining to it. Brian Jacques is a great author and his books are my favorite books in my whole collection, and that's a whole lot of books. Anyone who reads this thank you for taking into consideration my opinion, when not so many people do.

I personally love the book. I totally got sucked into the the book. I have read the whole series and own most of the books. They are awsome books "Lord brocktree" Is the first book of the series in hardback I got.I got it for Xmas and read it in five days. All the Redwall Books are very good. I've mastered all of the languages in the books. When I read the "Redwall" book I coulden't understand the languages and now there easy. The series is great! I can't wait for the next.

I have not yet finished this book yet, but I am already engrossed in it fully. I am 13 years old and I have loved every single one of Brian Jacques books. My goal is to buy the entire set one day and read it from start to finish so I can read Redwall's entire history. I have library fees galore because I always return Redwall books late 'cause I read them two and three times over.
In my opinion, Brian Jacques has never, is never, and will never write a bad book, just so long as it is about Redwall or Salamandastron.

I personally thought the book was awful. It made no sence. It was about some dumb badger. I don't really recommend the book. It was just really quite boring.
