I thought this book was the bomb! It wa totally awesome! The whole prophecy thing and the war between the ministry and hogwarts, and all the mischiefn and mayhem going on at all times of the day kept me reading this novel non-stop for a whole day. I read it in 14 and a half hours my first time! I've now read it six times going on my seventh. Harry was a real hot head in this book. He yelled an awful lot and listened almost never. I thought sirius getting killed was an amazing twist for the story. It really makes me wonder what will happen in the next book. The umbridge woman reminded me a lot of one of my own teachers. This book kept me going because it wasn't all fun and games. It had some serious stuff to it, which i think is the perfect spice. I rate this book AWESOME!AWESOME!AWESOME!AWESOME!AWESOME!AWESOME!AWESOME!AWESOME!

It's true that the "dark" side of the Order of the Phoenix was a bit hard to stomach; however, I thought that this book was very good. I can understand why J.K. Rowling made this book a little more depressing than its precedents. I mean, for crying out loud, he's growing up! But I still hope she doesn't carry the trend of the 5th book into the 6th and 7th. I like the relative lightheartedness of the first three books and hope that we see more of that in the next two. I think Sirius is really dead. It's hard to accept, but I doubt he'll come back in the 6th book. I just hope that no more people who are close to Harry die because it seems like he's had to go through a lot of that already. I would not say that this is the best book of the lot (my favorite is Azkaban) but I think that it is definetely the most thought-provoking. One of the most interesting aspects of it is the DA, that is, the idea that kids can take charge of their own education if they have the motivation to do it. I also found Umbrigde interesting and perhaps symbolic, of those who try to tell people how to think. I liked this book a lot but thought that it could have had more humor and playfulness in it. It didn't seem as innocent as the others.

i absolutely love this book. sometime i just can't help it and think that i was part of the book. it might sound a little funny but it sure feels good to be a part os the book.i have been rereading it again and again and sometime i just can't stop reading untile my mom comes in and yell at me to go to sleep. i can't wait to read the 6th book i bet Harry's live will be harder and harder. still on some of the things i didn't like it very much , it made me cry. and once i start crying can't stop for half an hour. however i do understand that with a bit of tragedy, it wouldn't be that good. so i hope the movie and the book comes out faster. since i was almost the last one to read the 5th book because of lack of allowence.

I think the book was fantastic, BUT at some points I just felt a desire in me to just take the book apart ( because of that UMBRIDGE-Woman god! I HATE HER!).
In the end I think that it was b-e-a...utiful!

I thought this book was incredible. This book gets you emotional, which many books cant do. Who cares if Harry is moody all the time, who wouldnt be. I cant actually say seriously that I laughed and I cried, and whatever that saying is. This book just keeps you wanting more and left all sorts of questions to be answered. You can definatly tell J.K. Rowling worked har on this book, there are small things I would change but other than that this book is perfect. I cant wait till the 6th and 7th and hope she does more. Also about it having a depressing plot, well it has too! We knew from the begining that Lord Voldmort was a key part in the book, it cant just be like we might die hurray! Thats why I think its PERFECT and WONDERFUL!

He remembers his parents die every time he gets close to a Dementor he would be able to see them since he arrived at Hogwards. The caracters do not change a lot except Harry who loses his temper every now and again

oh my gosh if you didn't like this book then you seriously have no taste. This book was excellent i loved it and i am so going to read it again after the series finishes. i cannot wait for the 6th book to come out. i am so anxious to find out what happens. yeah so people say this book is long, sad, depressing etc...so what it's really interesting and if you don't agree then don't read it. Meanwhile i can honestly say that this book definitely ties with the 4th book. j.k. rowling is now like my favorite author so keep the books coming and in my opinion you shouldn't stop at the 7th book.

Have you people noticed something? As Rowling keeps writing, her books steadily become longer and more depressing. If she keeps this up, book number seven will be the equivilent of hell. The cover will probably be Harry going up in flames after Voldemort has tortured him for 5 weeks or something.
Okay, okay, I was exagerating. I just wasn't happy with this book. WAIT!!! before you groan because you think I'm not a TRUE Rowling fan, hear me out. I've read the others all about 4-5 times each and my favourite is Prisoner of Azkaban. The reason being, although the third book doesn't end completely well, (wormtail escapes)it STILL has comedic moments at the end (like when Snape gets mad because he knows Harry helped Sirius escape, but Dumbledore just smiles his awesome smile :). It also has a huge twist in the plot with the whole time turner thing and I'm on the edge of my seat whenever I read it.
The Order of the Phoenix, however, is not as fun to read. I guess this is understandable becuase, after all, Voldemort's back, but I ended up getting so MAD at everyone.(Umbridge, Snape for not continuing Occlumency just because of a grudge, etc.) Even at Dumbledore for not telling Harry anything. Then I feel bad because I know Dumbledore did the best he could. It's INCREDIBLY depressing. Then, NATURALLY, Sirius had to die just to cheer me up EVEN more. However, even though I think it's the most UNFAIR thing in the world that he died, it would be so LAME if he came back(Unless there's a VERY good explanation). I mean, even Lupin knew he was gone.
To conclude, as hard as it is to believe, I did actually like the book, I just wish it would have had a few more plot twisting elements and would have balanced the sad and happy parts better, like in the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Whew!! I'm done.

I already wrote a review for this book, but I wanted to write a lonnnnnnngggggggggg one this time. First I wanted to say that this is the best HP book so far. I know some people think that this book is to dark compared t the others, but it had to be because Harry is growing up and everything can't have a happy ending. If it did then Why make Harry grow up at all? The whole Harry growing up thing was cool because how else would JK Rowling have been able to to write a darker book. I was soooo...... sad when Sirus died, but I hope he will come back in the next book. And if you are going to write a review don't just talk about either the bad or the good parts of the book it makes you look like a really close minded person who can't see anyone elses point of view. I have only one part of the book that I didn't like. That was that the book was to short!!! I just wanted it to keep going on, but I can understand when some people thought it could be cut down because not every part was good. I loved it anyway! I really like the whole I hate the world view of Harry. It totally makes sense because he is 15 and he had to grow up at sometime right? I even liked being mad at that hag Umbridge. The ending was the best part when Harry was in Dumbledores office because Harry finally got to tell Dumbledore off. That was the best Harry Potter book yet!!
