this book was not entertaining from the beginning. Mila was dumb when they found her then she started opening up her mind and then becuase of some incidents she becomes she girl that she was when they first found her.
I also think that they treated her like research material and government property, she was strange but still she a human being that acted like and animal. All humans, strange or not have rights, but Mila didn't. Instead of living a normal peaceful life she had to suffer.
thats some of the reasons I didn't enjoy reading this book.

This story was very interesting and had many descriptive words.Mila is a young girl and has a few friend's named Doctor Troy, Doctor Beck, Shay and Sandy. Many children my age would love this book, I would recamend it over any book in the world. This book would make everyone I know happy and it would also make them love to read. After reading this book I felt that I could now read any book. I loved this book and so would many other children.

This book was, yes, extremely well written and you could feel the main character, Mila suffering and living through it very strongly. The book is mainly for readers 9-12 as you will find most reviews will say. But although I'm in that range of age I and most of my peers found it quite dull. All the time I was waiting for something to happen, which it never did until the end and by then you knew it was going to happen anyway. So yes I would recomend this book, if you're planning to put yourself asleep.

This book was very well written but overall I thought it was boring. The book semmed to drone on and on and on. The book never really picked up or slowed down it was always slow. Although I give Karen Hesse props people my age would enjoy something more interesting.

A short fiction novel that captures a young reader's (6-12) attention. Mainly little girls would enjoy this on, as it tells the story of a girl who must learn the ways of humans after spending her entire childhood being brought up by dolphins. A delihgtful tale, a must read.
